The Spirit Softball Program is a competitive, 'open tryout team', initiative by the Melfort Minor Softball Association (MMSA) providing players an opportunity to extend, outside of regular league, their softball experience to play more competitively and further develop skills. The Spirit Softball Program requires greater commitment of time, travel, skill development, work ethic, and money. The Spirit Program is an opportunity for female players to practice, attend tournaments, and compete at provincial softball levels in the following age divisions:
-
U12 'A' Girls (2007, 2008)
-
U14 'A' Girls (2005, 2006)
-
U16 'B' Girls (2003, 2004)
-
U19 'B' Girls (2000, 2001, 2002)
We are excited to announce that Softball Saskatchewan has approved the MMSA as an "A" Centre for both U12 Girls and U14 Girls age divisions. This means that Spirit Softball will be participating at an "A" level in both U12 Girls and U14 Girls divisions. If there are sufficient athlete numbers, and available coaches, we will also form "B" teams in U12 Girls and U14 Girls age divisions.
