About House League

MMSA House League Teams

MMSA House League teams are teams open to all skill levels of MMSA catchment area players.  These teams provide players an opportunity to learn & practice skills and play games against other communities participating in the North East Softball League.  Teams practice and play games beginning in May and end in June.  

House League Age Divisions

Timbits Softball (Level 1 & 2): Tuesdays & Thursdays (See further description at bottom of page)

  • Ensures children of all skill levels have FUN while improving their fitness levels and developing their Fundamental Movement Skills

  • Level 1 (born 2014, 2015) - Tuesday & Thursday - 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM

  • Level 2 (born 2012, 2013) - Tuesday & Thursday - 6:45 PM - 7:45 PM

U10 - Mondays & Wednesdays

  • Born 2009, 2010 or 2011

  • Team practices and league games

  • Participate in provincial U10 Co­ed Jamboree

U12 - Mondays & Wednesdays

  • Born 2007 or 2008

  • Team practices and league games

U14 - Tuesdays & Thursdays

  • Born 2005 or 2006
  • Team practices and league games

U16 / U19 - Tuesdays & Thursdays

  • Born 2003 or 2004 (U16) Born 2000, 2001, 2002 (U19)
  • Team practices and league games

Timbits Softball

 

The Timbits Softball Program is a revolutionary way of introducing the sport of softball to children.

Timbits Softball ensures children of all skill levels have FUN while improving their fitness levels and developing their Fundamental Movement Skills.

  • Fosters success for all ability levels

  • Has easy-to-follow lesson plans for new & experienced coaches

  • Contains activities and lead up games that are patterned after informal Playground Games

  • Gives every child more opportunities to develop softball skills because everyone is active for every minute of every season

Timbits Softball program is a progression of skills development. Players are placed into a level based upon age and / or abilities.

Levels:

Level 1: 4 to 5 years

Level 2: 6 to 7 years

Timbits Softball has easy to follow lesson plans for parents and volunteer coaches and promises lots of ACTION in a positive environment for all children.

Timbits Softball allows coaches and children to explore the wonderful sport of Softball. Participants will go home happy and will look forward to the next Timbits Softball session.
